In comparison to the rest of his week, today had been fairly mild and decent. His body was still sore and aching, while his pain was managed with proper medication. Brennan's movement was still confined to sitting up in his bed, although he today he was content with laying here. He was starting to eat a little more regularly, even though he still grimaced through every bite. He couldn't help that this stuff tasted awful, but it was better than being hungry. Today's agenda seemed easy enough. All he had to do was stay awake long enough to let one of the doctors see him for a few moments. After that, the rest of the day seemed fairly uneventful. Slowly but surely, Brennan was adapting to the way things ran at Seattle Main Hospital. Although he still found it hard to make himself feel comfortable hear. He had been forced out of his comfort zone and thrown into a new environment, entirely not by his own choice.
His head injury had caused some concerns initially, although severe or moderate brain damage was ruled out almost immediately. His memory of the night his accident occurred was fuzzy, he was only able to remember moments before impact and nothing else. It frustrated Brennan, but was he so certain that it was something he would want to remember? Maybe the accident had been so traumatic to him, that his brain had chosen to forget rather than cope with the stress. It was traumatic, there was no denying that. The notion of sitting in a car again sent a wave of anxiety down his spine. While a few of the doctors had thrown around their theories, there was one doctor in particular that would be able to find some answers. As he fumbled with the television remote, Brennan sighed before pressing the power button.
