OLIVIA ROSE MOORE
OLIE
EIGHTEEN • FEMALE • STRAIGHT • PATIENT - (BURN VICTIM)
personality
Olivia is a girl who likes her alone time. She prefers the quite of her room apposed to a noisy mall any day. To most she is known to be the loner type. Often she stays away from others, and will go out of her way to avoid any sort social contact. If it is unavoidable, she becomes arrogant and blunt to who she is talking to. She will not be afraid to point out something mean to another person, she will however regret it later. Weeks, days, or maybe even just hours after it happened she will curse herself for it. Over all of her bad attributes, she does have a few nice ones. If someone can be patient enough with her, she will eventually warm up to them. Its a slow process but some might find it worth while in the long run. Once she does consider someone a friend, she will remain loyal to them for as long as she lives.
background
Olivia's life can be described as a snowball rolling down a mountain. She comes from a family of constant abuse. Her whole life her parents have bickered and fought every step of the way. Both always threatened to file a divorce, although never carried through with it until later in her life. This gave little Olivia severe anxiety and caused her to shut down when ever the fights broke out. On top of that, her father physically, mentally, and sexually abused her constantly from the age of eight to fifteen. Her mother denied it whenever Olivia tried to tell her.
When it came to school, Olivia was seen as the trouble child. She'd constantly skip school and not make up the missing work. Her teachers worried about her but never took the extra step to see what was wrong. It only got worse when she entered middle school. Olivia got put in with the bad crowd. She was with people who used her for their own benefit, never thinking once about her own feelings. Most of the time she took the blame for her 'friends' clumsy antics. The only reason Olivia stayed with them is because she felt she couldn't make any new friends. She felt helpless and trapped. Eventually she developed clinical depression at the age of thirteen. Feelings of self-doubt and hate swelled in her like a balloon. At the age of fifteen she attempt suicide by overdosing on her prescribed sleeping pills.
It was an unsuccessful attempt, but it did leave her in the ER for quite sometime. After her dispatch from the hospital her mother finally saw what all of this was doing to their daughter. She almost immediately filed a divorce and gained custody over Olivia. The two moved to Seattle, Washington due to it being her mother's hometown and most of her mother's family living there. Olivia's aunt nicely took her and her mother in. They set up some weekly therapy that she would go to.
Things began to go downhill again when she was enrolled at the high school. After so many years of having awful friends, she found it hard to reach out to others in this new environment. Slowly but surely she sunk back into her depression. She stayed in her room a lot more and barely went out with anyone over weekends. Her therapy sessions began to cut short as she started to talk a lot less about her feelings. Her mother, who now worked over-time to pay the bills, didn't have time to talk to her daughter. This only thrust the dagger deeper.
Over the years Olivia began to grow comforted by the thought of suicide once more. She felt it would be better if she just disappeared. And so one day after school she took a gas can and lit herself on fire in her bedroom. As the fire engulfed her, she realized that she had made a terrible mistake. She put herself out by rolling on the ground. She was discovered when her mother came home from work a few hours later. For the second time she was rushed to the ER. She has been at the hospital for a few days now, and it still fighting to stay alive.
