personality
Jye is a friendly person, who will treat you as a friend until you give her a reason not to. She is loyal and generous and values family (though the only family she has left now is her older brother.) She loves to help people, which is what led her to want to become a doctor. Determined, and hardworking - she is completely committed to her end goal of becoming an attending trauma surgeon at the Seattle hospital.
background
Born to two loving parents, Jye was raised in a stable, happy home with her father, her mother and her older brother. Her parents had decided to be surprised with the gender of their second child and had picked out names, "Jye" being among them for a boy. When she was born a girl, they decided that they'd call her Jye anyway, because they really liked the name, and compensated for it by bestowing upon her a fairly feminine middle name, which she spent a portion of her childhood going by until she decided to juts get over it.
The Hudson family lived in Chicago until Jye was ten (her brother 13), when her dad got a promotion and transferred to Seattle. She settled in quickly, making all new friends at her new school and thriving in classes. High school was when it all got interesting. Jye found she had a knack for science - Chemistry, Physics, Human Biology - and as an added bonus, she enjoyed it too. Her parents had always encouraged her to try and pursue a career in something that she enjoyed and the more she looked into it, the more she realised that she wanted to be a doctor more than anything, so that became her dream.
She worked and worked, studied and revised, got into med-school and passed with flying colours -though there was a time after her parents died within months of eachother that she thought she wasn't going to make it. She interned at the Seattle hospital and then was offered a residency upon completion, which she gladly accepted. Now, nearly at the end of that, Jye is hoping to be in the running for an attending position in the Trauma division of the hospital.
Jye loves potato, pickles, bacon, corn chips and Pringles (not all mushed together though), rain, reading books, and curling up with her dog and a coffee and watching her favourite shows (which are too numerous to list) Her favourite ice cream flavour is cookie dough and she hates tomatoes, and she tries to catch up with her brother (who still resides in Seattle) at least once every two weeks. When asked why she chose to major in trauma she shrugs and replies with something along the lines of "Someone's gotta help those people." It's hard for her to explain to others, why she chose it. It's not often pretty, and you do lose patients - but when someone comes in after suffering a horrific injury, and then you can help to fix them? It's a truly wonderful feeling. And that's what makes it all worthwhile to her.
