positive Though Kat was born with her disease and it has hindered her in more ways than one she has never let it dampen her upbeat spirit. She had a decent life growing up, though it wasn't the fairy tail that most people where led to believe. Though she has come from a wealthy family Kat still seems to hide behind her positive attitude even though a lot of the time she feels very alone in the world.
scared Katlynn has known from a very young age that she should have died as an infant, her father has told her on more than one occassion that she was not the son that he had hoped for, but Kat is afraid to die alone. She doesn't believe that she can depend on her family for support when the time comes to finally let go. She hasn't heard very encouraging things from her previous doctors either, and now she if truly starting to become afraid. Though she seems hell bent on hiding it from the world.
stubborn Kat has a bit more of her father than he would like to see, but she inherited his hard headedness. Once she has her mind set to something it is quite difficult for her to let go though, on more than one occassion this has gotten her into trouble. Kat has found that she gets along better with the male population than the female, seeing as much more males are willing to deal with her oppinionated outbursts.
intelligent Though Kat was quite sheltered as a child she never lacked in her education, she is fluent in three languages and is working on her fourth. English, French, Swedish, and working on German. She has a dream of one day becoming a diplomat or a translator of some kind, but for now she holds on to her dreams like a life support. They seem to be the only thing keeping her going as of late.

Katlynn was born to Vanessa and Stephan Stark, a happily married couple of six years. For the first four years of their marriage Vanessa had tried to conceive the son that Stephan so desperately wanted. But for the first for years it seemed like a such a futal effort. Just when Vanessa was about to give up hope she found that she was pregnant. Stephan was overjoyed, but Vanessa discovered the sex of her child it was not the son that Stephan wanted and Vanessa quickly became depressed. For quite some time she kept it from her husband that their son was actually a very sick daughter, whom she had doubts would even make it threw the entire pregnancy. However the young child surprised both her doctors and mother when it came time deliver. However complications happened and the doctor's where forced to perform a c-section, Vanessa began to hemorage and in order to save Kat they had to act quickly.
Vanessa died that day, and so did Stephan's heart. The woman he loved had lied to him for a little runt that could so much as seem to get a breath. But for a brief moment the operating room was filled with the cries of a child and then a deep throaty cough. The child was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, though Vanessa had neglected to mention that to Stephan. However as she was his blood and flesh he cared for her in his own way. Katlynn was always well taken care of by her nanny's and constant supervision by her doctors. Breathing treatments to ease the pain, and many other things that money could by. After all what was a wealthy CEO of a multi-million dollar company to spend his money on if not his only child? Stephan never remarried after Vanessa died though there where many women who would come and go from Katlynn's home, though none of them where her mother.

Though she body was weak Kat possessed an aptitude for knowledge, and learned rather quickly. However as she grew older she had to make more and more trips into the hospital. Her lungs where starting to fail. Even after trying to keep her away from the allergens and bad things in the air she was still deteriorating slowly. Kat now is a part time patient at the hospital. She is expected to come in for a breathing treatment three times a week for as long a necessary.
