Hello beautiful members of FABB. As you might have noticed, the mini-profiles on Proboards V5 have several customization options. Up until now, I was having issues getting it all to work. Fortunately, we can now customize our mini-profiles to make our lives easier. Here are some new features and how to go about working them.
I. Bio & Plot. This feature is awesome. It allows you to link to your character's application and plot page so other members can have easy access to your character's information. To add this go to edit profile -> personal -> application & plotter field. Past the url in these fields and it those pretty links on your mini-profile will now work!
II. Played by. This field is also located under edit profile -> personal -> played by. Type in your alias name/ooc name. Please try to avoid numbers and symbols. This is useful for knowing who plays a certain character so you can address them as their name in a PM. Also, it's a great way of getting to know who plays who without having to go to the directory EVERY time.
III. Music. Yes, I said it, music! Have a favorite song? Put it on your mini-profile. Does your character have a theme song? Put it on there! This is a great way to reflect your character's mood. In order to add music to your mini-profile, please follow these instructions:
- You will need to use THIS converter specifically to convert your song to an MP3. If you already have an MP3, skip this step. Find a song on YouTube, copy, and paste the link into the field on the converter website and click, download.
- Using Kiwi6.com, upload your MP3. I recommend making a profile since I'm sure you'll want to upload more songs.
- Click on the song title so the site will take you to the song's options. Click the share button. Copy and paste the direct hotlink.
- Edit profile -> personal -> music. Copy and paste this link into the field.
